Annual Clinical Academic Training Event - February 2019

We would like to invite you to take part in the Annual Clinical Academic Training Event, where Professor Paul Stewart, Faculty Dean of Medicine & Health/ Professor of Medicine/ Consultant Endocrinologist at the University of Leeds, will be delivering the keynote lecture.

The event will open with a session by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR).  The keynote session will take place in the Forum Lecture Theatre, Centre for Professional Development, the Medical School, following a number of short presentations from some of our brightest West Midlands Clinical Academic Trainees.

The keynote lecture will be followed by a networking drinks reception, where you will have the opportunity to talk with a range of senior academics and event attendees.

Abstract Submission Guidance

Please submit your abstracts on the abstract submission form to Klaudia Kmetyoova (k.kmetyoova@bham.ac.uk) by Monday 7th January 2019.

Abstract should be no more than 350 words, completed using Times new roman pt 12 and include:

  • Title of abstract
  • Names
  • Affiliations
  • What was the research opportunity – intercalation or other
  • Introduction/ Purpose/Aim
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Relevance/ Conclusions/ Discussion/ Implications
