Environmental Health Sciences

In the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences

The Environmental Health Sciences Group excels in researching environmental processes and their effects, from air pollution to climate dynamics. Our work is vital for understanding global change and its influence on ecosystems, the environment, and health.

The work of the group involves field studies, laboratory experimentation and numerical model development and application. The group is well equipped with the latest state-of-the-art instrumentation for field measurements, chemical analyses and laboratory studies in the air pollution and environmental nanoscience areas.

Our research is highly inter-disciplinary and involves collaborations both within and outside the School. As well as UK partners, the group has strong active research links with organizations in Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Egypt, Greece, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, and the USA.
