COVID-19 research in minority ethnic communities

In the UK, people from all minority ethnic groups (apart from Chinese and Mixed-race groups) are at greater risk of becoming very sick with COVID-19 when compared to the White population. We need to understand why and tackle this urgently through health research.

The National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) encourages you to learn more about research so that you can better understand what’s involved, how to find studies happening near you and how to help with COVID-19 research.

Community call to action videos

The NIHR has released a number of videos from members of minority ethnic communities asking people to come forward to help.
