Accelerating Thermal Energy Technology Adoption (ATETA) is a new and distinct business support service for businesses in the Greater Birmingham Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership area who are looking to grow their profits through innovation. This small to medium sized (SME) engagement programme has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund and has been designed to help local organisations overcome their obstacles and unlock business opportunities.

Delivered through the Birmingham Energy Institute and Energy Systems Catapult, ATETA provides SME’s with the opportunity to work with the world leading researchers in the state-of-the-art-labs at the University of Birmingham. By working collaboratively, SME’s engaged with ATETA can expect to benefit from; improved efficiency, the discovery of new market prospects, a platform to test and demonstrate new ideas and ultimately growth for their business.

Free to eligible SME’s, ATETA  aims to promote research and innovation in the adoption of low carbon technologies. Depending on the unique needs of each business, ATETA can support SME’s by providing them with a platform to; test and demonstrate new ideas; identify market opportunities in new energy and technology markets; improve their product and service offering and support the research and development of energy technologies.

Following on from the support offered by this programme, ATETA can provide access to further expert led engagement opportunities, this includes the likes of ERA, Energy Capital and the work being carried out to Tyseley Energy Park.
