6th Annual Network Meeting 2025

Registration is now open for our 6th Annual Network Meeting which will be hosted at the Edgbaston Park Hotel in Birmingham, UK on 5 – 6 November 2025.

Delegates will have opportunities to hear from internationally renowned speakers and broaden connections within our membership. The two-day programme will be an excellent forum for exchanging ideas and furthering research possibilities. Please note this event will be in-person only.

The meeting is open to members only - you can apply for free membership here. Bookings are subject to availability, and registration will close when all places have been filled, after which a waiting list will be in operation.

The meeting programme will be shared on our website in due course.

6th Annual Network Meeting will include:

  • two-day scientific programme
  • networking sessions
  • poster session 

Additional opportunities for members:

  • full day, in-person Grant Writing Workshop will be held at the conference venue on 4 November 2025 (places will be awarded via a competitive process)
  • submission of abstracts for the poster session (please see below for more information)
  • travel bursary scheme is available (via a competitive application process)

All registration fees are significantly subsidised by BactiVac, and in addition we are offering an early bird rate giving a further discount for bookings up to 22 June 2025 (23:59 hrs UK time).

There are limited places available at this meeting, so we encourage you to book your place as soon as possible. Registration will close once all available places have been booked and a waiting list will then be in operation. Please note that places are non-transferrable.

Your registration fee covers:

  • Attendance at the two-day Network event with lunch and refreshments provided on 5 and 6 November 2025
  • Hotel accommodation (single occupancy, en-suite, with bed & breakfast) at the conference venue (Edgbaston Park Hotel) for the night of 5 November 2025 (one night)
  • Conference dinner on 5 November 2025
  • Provision of a letter of support to accompany Visa applications where applicable
  • There is no reduction in registration fee for less than full attendance, or where no accommodation is required

*     Student: 
Anyone registered as a university postgraduate student, including a doctoral researcher. You may be asked to provide evidence for your student status when arriving at the meeting.
**   Research Fellow: 
An early career researcher who does not currently hold a substantive position within their organisation.

Your current place of work should be based within an institution listed: LMIC countries.


After you register, we will email you with a confirmation of your registration. This will include a discount code from Edgbaston Park Hotel for additional nights at the hotel if required.

Grant Writing Workshop

BactiVac will be hosting a Grant Writing Workshop on Tuesday 4 November 2025 in conjunction with our 6th Annual Network Meeting. The Network will be funding up to 25 places on this Workshop. This Workshop aims to help researchers effectively plan and communicate their proposal ideas to maximise the chances of securing funding. Find out more about the Workshop and application process.

Travel Bursary Scheme

The Network is proud to be able to offer financial assistance to its members to attend Network meetings through its travel bursary scheme. All applicants applying for a travel bursary must also submit an abstract. Find out more about our travel bursary scheme.

Abstract Submission

We welcome abstract submissions for poster presentation. A limited number of successful abstracts will also be chosen for a ‘flash talk’. All applicants applying for a Travel Bursary must also submit an abstract. Applications for abstract sumission are now closed.
