Professor Hugh Houghton delivers the Graham Stanton Memorial Lecture for 2020

The Graham Stanton Lecture is an annual event held by the British New Testament Society as part of its annual conference, in memory of one of its founders. Graham Stanton was Professor of New Testament at King's College London for over twenty years before becoming Lady Margaret Professor of New Testament at the University of Cambridge.

This year, Professor Hugh Houghton, Director of ITSEE,  was invited to deliver this lecture with the title "New Light on the Oldest New Testament Catena Manuscript". Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conference hosted by Durham University was held entirely online. Professor Houghton spoke about the research and findings of the recent AHRC Codex Zacynthius project. The lecture was open to the public, with members of the audience tuning in from the USA and Australia as well as from throughout the United Kingdom.

A recording of the lecture has been made available on YouTube. One of the plenary lectures at last year's British New Testament Conference was delivered by Professor Candida Moss, Edward Cadbury Professor at the University of Birmingham.
