The Bioresource is a national initiative to develop cohorts of patients willing to provide samples, clinical and genetic data, and to be recontacted for future studies. It includes cohorts of rare diseases, common diseases, and healthy volunteers.
Birmingham has been one of the biggest contributors to recruitment; and those of us leading the Birmingham Bioresource Hub are keen that our clinical and research teams benefit from the research resource that has been created.
