The department of Disability, Inclusion and Special Needs (DISN) offers distinctive postgraduate and professional development programmes across a range of SEN and Inclusion that are relevant for professionals from different disciplines working with children or adults with disabilities or special needs and their families. Many of its programmes offer flexibility in terms of Place, Pace, Level and Mode.

The department of Disability, Inclusion and Special Needs has a very active community of Doctoral Researchers. We have around 130 current doctoral researchers (PhD and EdD) based in the Department. These researchers (spanning the UK as well as many overseas countries) work across a diverse range of contexts including home and community settings, schools, colleges, higher education and government agencies.
