Dr Heather Flowe, Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology has recently returned from a trip to Australia, where she was awarded research fellowship by the University of Sydney. The award stemmed from her work on alcohol and memory for sexual assault.
While in Sydney, Dr Flowe delivered training to the Australian Federal Police on alcohol and memory, and visited the New South Wales police. She also gave invited talks at the University of Sydney on alcohol, and at the University of Adelaide and the University of New South Wales on interactive line-ups. Interactive line-ups are a new procedure being developed here at the University of Birmingham's Centre for Applied Psychology. Her collaborators at the University of Sydney are Drs Helen Paterson, Lauren Monds and Celine Van Golde.
