The Department of Philosophy congratulates PhD student Sabrina Intelisano for being awarded the Andreas Kanaris Memorial Prize.
The School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion in cooperation with the VC's office established this award in 2012 in the memory of Andreas Kanaris, a postgraduate student who sadly passed away. This award is given to a postgraduate student within our School who has faced difficulties beyond their control whilst studying here at Birmingham. This year the prize was awarded to Sabrina Intelisano who has continued to do excellent work on her thesis on happiness and prisoners despite facing difficult circumstances.
