How to apply for an Apprenticeship

Like our other vacancies, you can search and apply for apprenticeships through our online job opportunities system.

Is this right career move for you?

It may seem obvious, but it's an important step to make sure that you are interested and enthusiastic about applying for your chosen apprenticeship role.

If you are not then this will not be the right apprenticeship or career for you and may be reflected in your application.

Making your application

We want you to have the best chance possible at being selected for an apprenticeship and have put together some hints and tips to help make things easier. You can also take a look at our Careers Network Job Application Support for extra advice on how to plan your application.

Accuracy

Check that all the information you include is accurate. If you make a mistake you will not be able to correct it once your application is submitted and many of our apprenticeship roles will involve developing levels of accuracy to carry out specific tasks - an accurate application lets us see you have those skills.

Ask questions!

Please ask us if you have any questions about the role or your application.  We'd want you to have all the information you need.

Contact our Apprenticeship Manager on apprenticeships@contacts.bham.ac.uk - make sure you include the job reference in your email.
