Health and wellbeing

We are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive living environment, where everyone is welcome and celebrated. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, we’re here to help you feel at home.

Accessible accommodation

We’re proud to offer purpose-built accessible rooms across our villages. Accessible accommodation is about so much more than a room with certain adaptations though. That’s why we work with students to create an environment they can feel safe and happy in, no matter their disability or needs.

Alcohol-free, Kosher, and recovery flats

We want you to feel comfortable here. That’s why you can choose to live with likeminded students in an alcohol-free or Kosher flat, subject to availability. We also offer recovery flats as part of the University’s Better Than Well programme, which supports students living with or recovering from addiction.

Keeping yourself healthy

We recommend registering with a local GP in your first few weeks with us, so you can get help as soon as possible if you start to feel unwell. We also strongly encourage you to get vaccinated against meningitis and COVID-19 before you start university.
