How to get in touch

Whether you’re curious about life at Birmingham, looking for some help with your application, or just have a general accommodation-related question, we’re here for you.

You can get in touch through the Student Living Helpdesk or by calling us on +44 (0)121 512 2158. Phone lines are open Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm.

You can also visit us in our Student Living Hub on the Ground Floor of University Centre. We’re open Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm.

While our office is closed on bank holidays and University closed days, our village site teams are on hand to support you.

Has one of our team members been particularly helpful? Has your Customer Service Manager gone above and beyond to help you feel at home? Let us know by filling in our can contact us via Service Now. We’ll ensure your nominated person receives the recognition they deserve. 

Complaints

Student Living

If you’re not satisfied with your accommodation, please talk to your Customer Service Manager within one month of the relevant incident. They should be able to resolve any issues informally and locally.

If you remain dissatisfied, you can raise a formal complaint using online accommodation feedback and complaints form. You need to submit this within a month of the attempted resolution and include evidence of the attempts made to resolve your issue informally.

Partner accommodation

If you’re living with one of our partners and something doesn’t meet your expectations, please raise your concern with your site’s reception team members, who will attempt to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

If you remain dissatisfied, you can submit a formal complain to them in writing, including as much evidence as possible. Please visit the Host, Unite Students, or Homes for Students website for more information about the procedure and who to contact.

Your data, your privacy

In compliance with Data Protection Law, the University is unable to divulge information relating to your account to a third party unless we are in possession of your signed consent with a completed Third Party Disclosure Form.
