You will experience the social programme on the beautiful and historic campus of Birmingham, with events taking place in our fantastic venues and stunning green spaces. You will be given an induction to campus life and experience welcome events and a BISS farewell.

The social and cultural programme also includes day trips to iconic UK cities; previous BISS students have visited Oxford and Cambridge as well as local attractions, sports activities at University Sport & Fitness. Enjoy theatre performances while getting to know your fellow students and exploring Birmingham and the UK.

While you meet with other BISS students, you will also engage and interact with ambassadors who are current University of Birmingham students, who will provide support and will give you all the top tips to ensure that you make the most of your time in Birmingham.

Your wellbeing is important to us. During the Birmingham International Summer School, you will be a registered student and have access to a wide range of support services. 1-1 advice and support, will be provided by the Birmingham International Academy Wellbeing and Student Experience Team.

I really enjoyed my lectures and lab works. We got to learn about things like obesity and microbiome. I got to learn new lab techniques and how to refine and other finer details. I got to interact with a lot of friends, discover many England cities, learn a lot about the UK and its way of life.
