
100 Internships for Chinese students in the Business School

As a Birmingham Business School Master's student, you have the opportunity to undertake a high-quality internship with a reputable employer in China.
The University works collaboratively with mShare, a leading China-based internship provider, to offer 100 internship placements exclusively for our Chinese postgraduate students on a first-come-first-served basis. These aren't just any internships, mShare will seek to source an opportunity that fits your career goals and academic background, giving you real-world business experience and a CV that stands out from day one.
What to expect
mShare works with a wide network of employers across finance, consulting, marketing, technology, e-commerce, and international trade in major Chinese cities.
Internships are available in Summer 2026 (before you begin your Master’s programme) or Summer 2027 (after you graduate) at no additional cost to you as a Birmingham Business School Master’s student.

For internships in Summer 2027 (after you graduate from your Master’s programme) – free of charge for you as a Birmingham Business School Master’s student.
For internships in Summer 2026 (before you begin your Master’s programme) – the University will charge you £550 upon successful application to an mShare internship. However, the University will deduct this amount (£550) from your tuition fee if you undertake the internship in the Summer of 2026 and subsequently enrol* onto your Master’s programme. As such, the internship will be free of charge for you as a Birmingham Business School Master’s student.
If, however, you undertake the internship in the summer of 2026 prior to starting your Master’s programme, and do not subsequently enrol* onto your Master’s programme, the University will retain the £550 internship fee.
*“Enrol” in these terms means completing your registration for your Master's degree, including your Right to Study check on campus.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so timing matters.
We have sent an email with a registration form to all offer holders for eligible programmes, and have posted a link to the registration form in our WeChat offer holder groups.
To be eligible for an internship, you'll need to have accepted your offer for a Birmingham Business School Master's programme and paid your tuition deposit.
