Fully accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), our Urban and Regional Planning MSc is designed to develop you as a reflective practitioner in the planning profession and related disciplines in the built environment. We also offer a Chartered Town Planner Level 7 Degree Apprenticeship that offers a route for new and existing employees to progress into professional planning and roles in related fields, funded by the Apprenticeship Levy. Much of our research and teaching is intended to help policy making by providing a bridge between academic research and the needs of policymakers in central and local government and other agencies. Underlying this is the aim of developing a better understanding of the processes of change in the urban and regional environment; the reasons for change; and its effects on towns, cities and regions and the people who live there.
