Gaining hands-on experience

I have successfully completed my internship at PwC Middle East (Khobar Office) within the Tax & Legal Services practice. During this journey, I had the privilege of supporting the Indirect Tax team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in tax advisory and compliance.

Working on live client projects

As an Indirect Tax Intern at PwC, I had the opportunity to dive straight into live client work from day one. Working closely under the guidance of experienced Associates, my role involved assisting with indirect tax compliance, analyzing transaction data, and researching relevant tax regulations to support client deliverables and Advisory projects.

What I enjoyed the most was the supportive and motivating work environment. The culture truly encourages learning and growth, and being trusted with meaningful responsibilities while having continuous guidance made the entire experience both rewarding and empowering.

My time at Birmingham Business School

I am thoroughly enjoying my course; it aligns perfectly with my career aspirations and academic interests. I chose the University of Birmingham primarily because of its stellar global reputation and the Business School’s prestigious Triple-crown accreditation.

The support from the university staff and BBS careers team has been exceptional - from refining my CV and conducting mock interviews to providing access to industry-standard resources like the Bloomberg Terminals. This solid academic foundation and career support played a major role in preparing me to secure and excel in my placement role at PwC.
