If you have met all of the terms of your offer, your place to study at the University will automatically be confirmed. Confirmation of your place will be available for you to view on UCAS from 8:00am on Thursday 15 August 2024.
If your offer included other conditions, such as an English language test, completion of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) process etc, please ensure you have provided the required information.
You do not need to contact the University. We will be in touch with you after 15 August 2024 by email to provide you with information about Welcome 2024 and your next steps.
We look forward to welcoming you to our campus soon.

If we have informed you that we are unable to confirm your place, we are deeply sorry if this is disappointing news. We regret to inform you that we are unable to revisit any of these decisions as they are final. If you believe we have made an error in our decision, please fill out our enquiry form.
We would strongly recommend that you look for suitable opportunities in Clearing. If you decide to appeal your grades and are unsuccessful, by gaining a place through Clearing, you will secure an alternative course offer and position at the University of Birmingham.

I have some missing results, what should I do?
The deadline for meeting all the conditions of your offer is Wednesday 4th September 2024. This includes sending us any missing results.
After this date, we cannot guarantee that we will still be able to accept you onto your course as there may no longer be any places available. If we are unable to accept you after this deadline, we can offer you a place for deferred entry instead.
Please note, the official deadline to meet all conditions for Medicine (A100) and Dentistry (A200) is the 31st August. Even if results come in after this date it is at the discretion of the medical school as to whether they will accept deferred entry to 2025.
I want to appeal the grades I have received, what is the next step?
I want to appeal the grades I have received, what is the next step?
If you wish to appeal the grades your school, college or awarding body has made, please contact them directly for further guidance and support.
We would also ask you to complete our form so we have a record of your decision to appeal your grades. Please be aware that the deadline for the University to receive any revised grades is Wednesday 4th September 2024. We regret that this deadline cannot be extended. After this date, we cannot guarantee that we will still be able to accept you onto your course as there may no longer be any places available. Appeals which are successful after this date will be considered for deferred entry in 2025.
If you are waiting for the results of a remark and are not holding an offer at any university or college, we would strongly recommend that you look for suitable opportunities in Clearing. By securing a place through Clearing, you will have an alternative option should your appeal be unsuccessful.
Please note that UCAS do not alert us of the fact that an applicant’s results have changed following a re-mark. If you do meet the terms of your offer after a re-mark, please contact us directly with your new result as soon as you have it.
Please note, the deadline to submit an appeal for Medicine (A100) and Dentistry (A200) is the 31st August. If an appeal is submitted after this date it is at the discretion of the medical school.

How do I decline my place?
How do I decline my place?
If you no longer want to study with us, you can opt to release yourself from your offer by logging into your UCAS account. The process is simple, but you will be asked a number of questions to ensure you fully understand what you are doing.
You will need to sign into UCAS and click ‘Decline my place’ and follow the instructions. You will then receive an email confirming your release. If you make a mistake or have changed your mind once you have completed self-release, you will need to contact us. However, we cannot guarantee to reinstate your place as this may already have been taken by another applicant. You can find out more via the UCAS website.
