Forward Thinking is a progressive programme of activities for students from Year 8 through to Year 11 who are currently attending a Forward Thinking partner school.
The programme is targeted at gifted and talented young people from less advantaged backgrounds who are likely to have little or no knowledge of higher education, but who have the academic potential to consider future progression to university. Throughout the programme learners will participate in a range of on-campus activities, receive one to one mentoring support from undergraduates in school, and access bespoke information and advice materials to support the programme.
June 2020 update
Sadly, we have taken the decision to cancel or postpone all on-campus visits and events until September 2020 in line with the government’s advice to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
We’re working hard on planning alternative online activities that students can take part in from their own homes. We want this content to be interesting and useful for students and something they can engage with in their own time.
