Join us at the University of Birmingham's Book to the Future Festival, as we join forces with the Barber Institute of Fine Arts to deliver an immersive children's event which will bring some of the gallery's art work to life!

Uncover the intriguing bird –leaf of Rene Magritte and the myth of Apollo and Daphne. Spend an exciting session with storyteller Anna O’Brian, exploring transformation and change, as part of the University’s Book to the Future Festival.

Three sessions will be held on Saturday 19th October: 10am, 10:45am and 11:30am; each session will feauture a different story. Guests are welcome to drop in for one talk or stay for all three sessions. 

Book to the Future

This event is part of Book to the Future - the University of Birmingham's annual festival of the written and spoken word. It features an exciting programme of free workshops, panel discussions, performances and author talks. 

The festival is open to all who are interested in the arts. It welcomes staff and students of the University of Birmingham, but also extends a warm invitation to the general public. We look forward to welcoming you!
