The DECIDE Network will train 12 ESRs across the partnership: positions are available for each of the seven projects listed below. DECIDE will start on 1st March 2013. Early-stage researchers are expected to register for a PhD and to commence work on their project on 1st September 2013. The Network will operate an equal opportunities recruitment policy.

Eligibility conditions

Early-stage researchers must, at the time of recruitment by the host organisation be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not yet been awarded a doctoral degree.

Full-time equivalent research experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle him or her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited or seconded, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is or was ever envisaged.

Mobility: at the time of the relevant deadline for submission of proposals, or recruitment by the host organisation, depending on the action, researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work , studies, etc) in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date. Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.

Annual salaries

Brussels rate 38,000 Euros per annum, to be modified by the EC country coefficient depending on the host country. Correction coefficients for the UK, Switzerland, Poland and Ireland are 134.4, 109.9, 77.1, and 109.1, respectively.
