Award Description

Birmingham Business School is offering a wide variety of scholarships for our new MSc students looking to join us in 2024. The awards are available to both UK and International offer holders and range in value up to full tuition fee support.

The scholarships currently offered by the Birmingham Business School include:

Dean's Responsible Business Scholarships

These prestigious scholarships, awards of which are available up to your full MSc tuition fee value, will be awarded to candidates who exhibit the highest standards of academic excellence, and who are passionate about Responsible Business. At Birmingham Business School, our vision is to promote curiosity and thought leadership for Responsible Business. As part of your scholarship application, you will be required to complete a written exercise on Responsible Business which will be reviewed alongside your course application.

MSc Economics Scholarships

To celebrate the launch of our three new Economics programmes, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee to those who have received an offer for either the MSc Economics, MSc Financial Economics or the MSc Money, Banking and Finance programmes. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

MSc Supply Chain Management Scholarships

To celebrate the launch of our new MSc Supply Chain Management programme, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee to those who have received an offer for this programme. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarships

To celebrate the launch of our new MSc Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship programme, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee to those who have received an offer for this programme. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

UK/Home Scholarships

If you are treated as a Home student for fee purposes, Birmingham Business School is offering a significant number of scholarships. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application. The typical scholarship award for successful candidates will be 40% of the tuition fee. Further funding in order to cover the remainder of the tuition fee may be available via the Government Postgraduate Loan for Masters Study.

European Scholarships

To support European students who can no longer access Home tuition fees, if you are permanently domiciled in the EU/EEA but will pay international tuition fees, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

Indian Subcontinent Scholarships

If you are permanently domiciled in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

African Scholarships

If you are permanently domiciled in Africa, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

Rest of the World Scholarships

If you are not eligible for the Indian subcontinent, African, European and UK/Home scholarships, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

Value of Award

Scholarships range in value as described above.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible to apply, you must fulfil all the following criteria:

• You must have, or expect to receive, a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent
• You must have received an offer from Birmingham Business School to start one of our full-time MSc programmes based at our Birmingham campus in September 2024:

How to Apply

To apply for any of our scholarships you need to complete our online scholarship form. We will email this to you shortly after you receive your offer to start one of our eligible full-time programmes. Make sure you read the instructions in the email and on the application form carefully before submitting.

Our scholarships have a number of application deadlines each year. We recommend that, as scholarships are subject to availability, you apply early to avoid disappointment. If you apply for a scholarship before one of the application deadlines, as shown below, you will normally receive a response on or before the decision returned by date.

 All awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application (alongside the written exercise for the Dean’s Responsible Business Scholarship). Scholarship awards are based on students’ grades at the time of application. Scholarship applications will be assessed at each stage by a Business School Scholarship Committee.

Individuals can apply for one or more of the scholarship categories listed above as part of their application. Applicants that are successful for one or more categories will be awarded that of the highest value.
