Award Description
The school of Chemical Engineering is happy to be able to recognise and reward our top incoming students to celebrate your academic achievements before arriving as a student at the University of Birmingham. The Chemical Engineering PGT Entrance Scholarship consists of a £1000 cash award during year 1 semester 1 for the students who meet the conditions below. There are 10 awards available; 5 will be allocated to UK students and 5 will be allocated to international students.
Applicants will be ranked on: Degree classification and Strength of application.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the award, offer holders must have received an offer for one of the following courses for year 1 entry in 2024:
- Advanced Chemical Engineering
- Advanced Chemical Engineering with Bioprocessing
- Advanced Chemical Engineering with Energy
- Advanced Chemical Engineering with Formulation
- Advanced Chemical Engineering with Healthcare
- Food Safety, Hygiene and Management
- Formulation Engineering
- Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technologies
- Global Energy Technologies and Systems
- Healthcare Technology
- Industrial Project Management
Applicants will be ranked on
- Degree classification

To be eligible for this award you must:
- Receive an offer for one of the above listed PGT programmes for year 1 entry in 2024
- Hold a first class, or equivalent, undergraduate degree
- Submit your application by 31 July 2024
