Title: Why Study Advanced Chemical Engineering? | University of Birmingham
Duration: 00.54
Begins
[Stephanie] My name is Stephanie, and I studied MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering.
I made my decision to study Advanced Chemical Engineering at Birmingham because it presented me with options: project management, business strategy and development.
Combining that with chemical engineering principles was a good combination for industry and that’s one of the main reasons I studied here.
I'll say that the support from faculty was amazing, it was phenomenal.
My studies here helped me to get the qualification to practice as a chemical engineer in the UK.
I'll also say that I received some transferable skills: data analysis, modelling simulation, that I’m using currently in my present job.
So from the University of Birmingham, I’ll say it has really pushed my career forward and given me a foot here to practice chemical engineering in the UK.
