Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Taught Entrance Scholarships

The School of Chemical Engineering is happy to be able to recognise and reward our top incoming students to celebrate your academic achievements before arriving as a student at the University of Birmingham. The Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Taught Entrance Scholarship consists of a £1,000 cash payment during semester one in year one for the students who meet the conditions below.

There are 10 awards available: 5 will be allocated to Home students, and 5 will be allocated to International students.

Who can apply?

Students who are meet the below conditions are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship is open to all Home and International students.

To be eligible for this award you must:

• Receive an offer for one of the following courses for year 1 entry in 2025:
  • Advanced Chemical Engineering
  • Food Safety, Hygiene and Management
  • Global Energy Technologies and Systems
  • Industrial Project Management
  • Sustainable Energy Engineering
• Hold a first class, or equivalent*, undergraduate degree
• Submit your application by 31 July 2025

This scholarship is open to students from all nationalities and all domiciles.
