Entry Requirements

Undergraduate

Entry requirements for applicants with qualifications from Kazakhstan

Applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Levels will be considered for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

Applicants who have completed the Certificate of (Completed) Secondary Education (Attestat o Srednem (Polnom) Obshchem Obrazovanii) and a further one year of university education or a suitable foundation programme, may be considered for direct entry into year one of an undergraduate study. An average grade point of 4/5 is required from the one year of Bachelors degree.

The Diploma of Specialised Secondary Education (with high grades) may be considered for undergraduate entry. This qualification is usually two years study after completion of the Certificate of (Completed) Secondary Education.

Postgraduate

Entry requirements for applicants with qualifications from Kazakhstan

Holders of a good Specialist Diploma (completed after 1991) or "Magistr" degree from a recognised higher education institution (with a minimum GPA of 2.67/4.00 for 2.2 equivalence and 3.00/4.00 for 2.1) ) will be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes/Mphil/PhD degrees.

Holders of a good "Diplom ob okanchanii vysshego uchebnogo zavedeniya" (completed before 1991) or Specialist Diploma, or "Bakalavr" (Bachelors) (since 1991) degree from a recognised Russian higher education institution (with a minimum GPA of 3.4/4.0, or 3.7/4.33 or 4.0/5.0 - good for a 2.1 equivalence) may be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes.

Foundation

Entry requirements for applicants with qualifications from Kazakhstan

Holders of the Senior High School Certificate (Attestat) with an average of 4/5 will be considered for entry to the Foundation Pathways, to include 4/5 in Mathematics for our Engineering and Physical Sciences pathway.
