Dr Alice Turner and Dr Babu Naidu from the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing to speak at a Lung Cancer Study Day to be held at the Centre for Professional Development, Medical School.
Dr Alice Turner, Clinical Scientist and Honorary Consultant Respiratory Physician at the QEH Research Laboratories is working alongside Dr Babu Naidu, Clinical Scientist and Honorary Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at the Heart of England NHS Trust to deliver a one day course to GPs and medical trainees with an interest in lung cancer (although it is suitable for any healthcare professional regularly managing lung cancer patients).
The course will cover diagnosis and management of all stages of disease through a combination of lectures and facilitated discussion of case studies; the latter will be done in small groups if delegate numbers allow.
