Dr Karen Guldberg in the Autism Centre for Education and Research (ACER) has been looking at ways in which the robots can be used in the classroom for children with autism. Dr Guldberg has worked with Topcliffe Primary School and Aldebaran robotics. She has also supported students in the School of Education and the School of Computer Science to collaborate on a project using the robot with children with autism.

On behalf of the team, ACER academic Dr Kerstin Wittemeyer, Head Teacher Ian Lowe, ICT Coordinator Ben Waterworth, and Carl Clement, who is a developer for Aldebaran robotics, presented the robots at the University's Annual Meeting on 12th March.
