We strived to increase social integration between our fellow societies and students in the School of Engineering (CivSoc  and MechSoc) by helping to organise the highly anticipated Engineering Spring Ball, as well as participating in bar crawls and other social events with the other disciplines. We also hosted other events such as the highly competitive FIFA tournament and films night which proved great success!

As a society we try and support our members when looking for careers and placements. We did this by making sure they were aware of the career fairs on campus specifically applicable to them. We also helped organise events like the industrial placement afternoons where students seeking a work experience or years in industry could come talk to those who have previously been on one to learn what it's like and get tips on how best to obtain a placement.

We also had great sporting success. Our team won the football tournament of EPS Trophy!  Here football teams from across the different departmental societies within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences competed in the first ever multi-disciplinary sports tournament. We were victorious beating other larger departmental societies such as MathSoc  and physics’ PPS!

We are incredibly proud and happy with our busy year and hope to grow the Society and increase its relevance in the lives of the EESE students in the future. If you're part of EESE Soc or are interested in what we get up to, please nominate us for an EPS Societies' Award!

Best Wishes,
EESE Soc Committee
