
With the return of students to campus CivSoc has grown from strength to strength over the past semester, benefitting both old and new members alike. Society President Gianluca Abbate tells us what they've been busy doing

This semester, CivSoc have continued to bring their members a sense of community with their industrial events, socials and sporting activities. We also welcome a new CivSoc committee to take on the reins!

In March 2021, the EPS Community launched the first event series aimed at introducing students to Engineering and Physical Science alumni from a broad range of sectors and offering and insight into their roles.

We are delighted to announce that the University's Development and Alumni Relations Office has named Xilin Dai as Volunteer of the Month for February 2021 in recognition of all she does for the School of Engineering.

It has been a weird 8 or 9 months for everyone and a fun challenge for CivSoc to adapt to the new situation along with the 42 other EPS Societies. Current President Rohan tells us how CivSoc has risen to the challenge.

This has been an exciting year for CivSoc – we've organised a range of socials, industrial events to help our members with their careers and competed in a multitude of sporting events too!
