Poynting Physical Society

PPSPoynting Physical Society (PPS) is one of the oldest societies at the university going all the way back to Professor John Henry Poynting himself! We are the society for physics students here at Birmingham but anyone is welcome to join. Our aim is to connect our community of like-minded people and we host a variety of events, from quizzes and bar crawls to careers events and the spring ball there is something for everyone.

In March 2021, the EPS Community launched the first event series aimed at introducing students to Engineering and Physical Science alumni from a broad range of sectors and offering and insight into their roles.
