The course will start with an introduction/revision of commonly used statistical approaches in analysing data, an introduction to the development pathway for clinical interventions, covering the transition from the laboratory through all phases of clinical trials practical guidance in the design and execution of studies that use real world data an introduction to other research methods, including systematic review and qualitative research

10 minute oral presentation plus 1.5 hour examination.

Entry requirements if taken as a stand alone course are 6 months oncology experience and holding a degree, preferably a 2.1 or equivalent qualifications in an appropriate medical/scientific subject.
