Since 1983 the Foundation, created by the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG), offers scholarships to British and German students who plan to study in the other’s country. The BCCG Foundation is a charity registered in Germany. Since the formation in Germany in 1983 the Foundation has been providing financial support and partial scholarships to young British and German nationals for study or research in the Federal Republic of Germany or the United Kingdom respectively. In this way it seeks to promote understanding between the peoples and the furtherance of cultural relations between the two countries.
Value of Award
Successful candidates will receive a BCCG Foundation Scholarship Award in the form of a one-off payment. The award is intended to provide supplementary financial support, not to defray the full cost of the proposed course of study or research. Payment is subject both to acceptance by the institution at which they study and evidence that the course or research activity has been started.
Citizens of the UK must have completed a bachelor degree. They are eligible to apply for an award if they are undertaking full time Master courses in their home country, intending to take a semester abroad (in Germany). Preferential assessment is given to students who intend to study abroad for the first time. Students should be under 30 years of age.
Only applications with reference to the study of law, economic sciences and engineering will be accepted.
How to Apply
The next application period for 2017/2018 will start 1 May until 30 June 2017 only. Applications sent before or thereafter will not be considered. For further questions, please contact the Foundation by e-mail only.
