Award Description

The Eliz Challenor Scholarship Fund was established through a bequest from the late Professor Challenor, an old boy of Sir John Talbot’s School and is available for applications from students who enter the University as an ex-pupil or who are residents of Shropshire. Please note that preference will be given to ex-pupils of Sir John Talbot's School.

Value of Award

Full tuition fees (at home rate) plus a monthly stipend (subject to availability).

Eligibility Criteria

Preference will be given to nominees who enter the University as:

a) an ex-pupil of Sir John Talbot’s School in Shropshire, or

b) a resident of Shropshire for two years immediately preceding 1st October of the year of the award, or

c) a resident of Shropshire on admission to the University

How to Apply

The nomination period will open in mid-March 2017 for 2017-18 entry scholarships.  Applications cannot be made directly for these awards; candidates need to be nominated by their school or department. If you are interested and fit the eligibility criteria, please make an expression of interest to the postgraduate administrator within your school, or your admissions tutor once the nomination period opens.
