Award Description

At Birmingham we address the key challenges facing the world today through ground-breaking research that impacts the lives of people regionally, nationally and globally.

This year, the University is offering up to 20 fully funded Global Challenges PhD scholarships to students researching topics that can provide innovative solutions to the global challenges of the modern day. 

Value of Award

The scholarship is offered to UK students, covering full payment of tuition fees at £4,327 and an annual doctoral stipend of £15,009, to be paid in monthly instalments by the University for a project period of up to 3.5 years (42 months).
