18 May 2022, 10:00-11:00am

A virtual tour of the BIFoR FACE facility - one of the world's largest climate change experiments, located in central England, UK.  This tour will be via Zoom. Registration is now open. This is a free event.

30May 2022, 10:00-15:00

Family workshop at The Exchange, central Birmignham.

Come and meet some of the team from the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR). Our team is passionate about research in relation to trees and their role in climate change and finding out more about the diseases and pests that effect trees.  Plant pathologists try to work out how and why plants will die and will try to find ways to prevent disease. It’s vital that we understand these issues to protect the health of our UK forests. Come along to become a plant detective! You’ll have to hunt for clues around the Exchange building and interview “eye witnesses” to piece together the evidence in order to solve the “whodunit” mystery.  Register or just turn up on the day.
