BRIDGE

INTERACT
The INTERACT trial is a cluster randomised controlled trial, testing whether a structured programme of Intensive Interaction provided within educational settings and at home is a clinically effective and cost-effective way of improving communication skills in children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

MELD
The MELD study identified community-based services for children with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge in England, described service models, and evaluated outcomes and costs for these service models.

People with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
People with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) are a group whose complex needs are often overlooked in mainstream research and policy discussions. Our survey, completed by family carers, is collecting detailed insights into individuals’ lives, support needs, and experiences of services, so that we can build a clearer, evidence-based picture of life for people with PMLD, and their carers, across the UK.

SiblingGame
The SiblingGame project is a UK-wide feasibility study designed to test the effectiveness of a digital serious game. The game aims to support the young (6-10 years) siblings of children with learning disabilities, to give them a sense of recognition, acknowledgement and support, and to make them aware, in a fun way, of their thoughts and feelings of being a sibling.
