Biointerfaces and Sensing Technologies

Biointerfaces are sites where biomolecules or living matter interact with other materials. We are designing biointerfaces to enable novel interactions that promote desirable effects on the living matter. We are also developing sensing technologies for use as diagnostic tools, to detect diseases and to prevent problems such as biofouling.

Our areas of expertise
• Molecular and point-of care diagnostics
• Bionano-sensing
• Biomaterials science
• Biotribology
