Cell and Tissue Engineering

We are engineering living cells and tissues to enhance their viability and functions, for use in regenerative medicine. We use a combination of experimental and computational approaches, and we exploit various aspects of cells and tissue, including genetics, biochemistry, biomechanics and biomagnetics.

Our areas of expertise
• Advanced therapies
• Biomaterials science
• Complex in vitro cell and tissue modelling
• Computational modelling and simulation
• Microbiology and microbial physiology
• Scar reduction technologies, wound repair and regeneration, dermatology, burns, drug discovery
