Student mentors

We are part of the local Aimhigher partnership, and we have a team of mentors who offer both face-to-face and online support. Our mentors are dedicated to encouraging learners as they go through the different milestones from Year 9 to Year 11.

Mentors normally work with five learners each and hold meetings on a weekly basis between November and April (around 10-12 weeks). If you are interested in finding out more about Aimhigher mentoring, contact the Aimhigher team aimhigher@contacts.bham.ac.uk

Subject-specific mentoring

Our team has a small number of mentors who provide subject-specific support to pre-16 students. We are particularly interested in supporting them with English, Maths, and Science to help raise attainment and inform them of opportunities they can access after GCSE.

Mentors usually work with three to five learners each and hold meetings on a weekly basis between November and April (around 10-12 weeks).
