The International Excellence Scholarship is awarded to overseas undergraduate students who apply to study in the School of Engineering in recognition of academic excellence. A wide range of international qualifications will be considered - please contact the admissions tutor to find out the criteria that would apply in each case.

Value of Award
This scholarship is valued at £1,500 and is in addition to the £1,500 International Achievement Scholarship to result in a total of £3,000 awarded as a tuition fee contribution. This scholarship will be paid directly to the University of Birmingham on behalf of the award holder.
The International Excellence Scholarship is for year 1 only and is non-renewable.
In order to qualify for this award, an applicant must:
Scholars cannot be in receipt of a fully-funded fees scholarship from an external body. (Part-funded students should contact the Admissions Tutor for further information with regards to eligibility).
- Be classed as Overseas for fee purposes;
- Have made a programme in the School of Engineering their firm choice;
- Have achieved A*AA/AAAA at A Level in accepted subjects, or equivalent qualifications.
How to Apply
There is no special application process – the awards will be made automatically to all eligible students admitted to the School of Engineering at the University of Birmingham who apply by the end of September to commence their studies in the October of their year of entry.
