Papyrus transcriptions made available through Institutional Repository
Following the release of the Vetus Latina Iohannes transcriptions, the International Greek New Testament Project (www.igntp.org) has made available its transcriptions of papyri which contain the Gospel according to John on the University of Birmingham Institutional Research Archive.
The following twenty-seven witnesses are available from the repository as raw XML or can be viewed as they appear in the prototype IGNTP transcripts website:
The transcriptions are licensed as Creative Commons by-nc-sa to encourage their re-use: we would be very interested to hear (by email) from projects or developers who go on to work with this data. A description of the XML encoding guidelines followed (conforming to TEI P5) is available here.
