Instron Microtester 5848

The Instron MicroTest 5848 is a mechanical analyser which enables the measurement of mechanical properties of samples, such as tensile and compressive strength as a function of humidity and temperature. It tests at very low forces with an extremely high displacement resolution.

Its force range is 10 mN to 2 kN and its maximum speed is 1500 mm/min. The device can be used to conduct fatigue studies over extended periods of time (weeks). For more information and specifications please consult the Instron Microtester 5848 brochure (pdf 1422 KB).

HR-1 Discovery Rheometer

The HR-1 discovery Rheometer is a rotational shear rheometer which uses a torque meter to monitor stress feedback from the sample under a known force. It gives accurate measurements of viscosity and other rheological properties.

Several different geometries are available including Peltier plates, cones, and concentric cylinders. For more information and specifications please consult the Discovery HR-1 rheometer brochure (pdf 2940 KB).
