Partnerships

The ‘Transform Autism Education’ project builds on the AET project and it is led by Dr Karen Guldberg, Director of the Autism Centre for Education and Research (ACER) at University of Birmingham, UK. The partners consist of two Universities, a non-profit organisation, a school district and a creative agency.

The Autism Centre for Education and Research (ACER) is a research centre situated in the School of Education, University of Birmingham, UK. ACER has extensive research expertise on educational interventions across health, social services and education, within the state, voluntary and independent sectors, working with both children and adults.

 Alkaterini Laskaridi Foundation

 

 

The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation is based in Greece and it promotes Greek arts and letters as well as maritime tradition and history. Its activities encompass all aspects of culture and organises conferences and workshops on autism spectrum disorders as well as running teacher training courses and peer awareness classes.

  Autism Education Trust

 

 

The Autism Education Trust (AET) is a partnership of organisations in the UK with an interest in autism. It works to improve education for children with autism.

Genium is an innovative full service creative and consultancy agency in the UK. Since its inception it has been working with various special educational needs and specifically autism organisations producing training materials and websites.

 Ufficio Scolastico per la Lombardia

 

 

The Ufficio Scolastico Regionale (USR) - Ufficio Scolastico Territoriale di Monza e Brianza is a branch of the Italian Ministry of Education. It has been involved in the promotion and implementation of specific training activities and good practice for the scholastic inclusion of students with autism and special educational needs.

 Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

 

The Research Centre for Disability and Marginality (CeDisMa - Centro Studi e Ricerche sulla Disabilità e Marginalità) is based in the Department of Education in the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy. The main focus of the centre is to develop pedagogical knowledge to help train professionals in the Third Sector (teachers, educators, trainers, coordinators, social workers) in special education needs and disability.
