Elena has been researching the Pedagogy of Education since 2006 in the Faculty of Education at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. She is a Professor of Inclusive Education, Methodology of Training Inclusive Activities, Planning in Special Educational Activities and Human Resources Education. She is also Coordinator of the Research Centre for Disability and Marginality (CeDisMa). She is the trainers' coordinator of the Masters degree in Educational Consulting for Disabilities and Marginality. She is a member of SIPeS (Italian Society of Special Education) and SIPED (Italian Society of Pedagogy) and has also worked as an educator in the area of special education in Italy.
