Nucleic acids is a growing research area within the School of Chemistry. Topics of interest include modified nucleic acids, nucleic acid diagnostics, single molecule imaging and microscopy, DNA-templated synthesis, metallodrugs and novel sequencing methods.
Interest in this area is expanding across the university with the advent of a Nucleic Acids Network involving the Birmingham Centre for Genome Biology.
If you work or study at the university and want to find out more and get involved, please contact the lead for the nucleic acids interest group, Professor Jim Tucker at j.tucker@bham.ac.uk.
