Crop Lodging

The University of Birmingham Wind Engineering Group and our partners, ADAS and the University of Lancaster, are working to reduce crop lodging and raise awareness of how it can be mitigated.

The findings from this work have been encapsulated in guidance documents and videos which are available from an external site.

For more information on the research project on which these guides are based, please see Understanding and reducing lodging (flattening) in maize and rice.

This work has been funded by BBSRC and GCRF, for which the researchers would like to express their gratitude.
