SPEAKER: Professor Patrick Geary, Institute for Advanced Studies, Princeton
Professor Patrick Geary, of the Institute for Advanced Studies, Princeton, is returning to the IAS this March to give a lunchtime lecture on paleogenomics in the early medieval West. Patrick’s lecture, entitled ‘Bringing Genomic Data into Historical Research’, will provide an update on the work he presented on his last visit, two years ago. He will also offer an invaluable review of selected current work in the field, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of this relatively new approach, and its methodological contribution to existing studies.
