As part of our donor engagement and publicity Professor Jackson Kirkman-Brown has featured in two recent episodes of Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies.
In Embarrassing Bodies Live from the Clinic the section covered increasing numbers of students using the ‘pullout/withdrawal’ method of contraception without protection with Dr Pixie. In this a student rugby team had ejaculation explained to them and their samples analysed in the teaching labs, highlighting that ‘pre-cum’ had sperm in it. In an episode in main series, Jackson discussed our sperm DNA damage research with Dr Christian and its role as a potential marker for risk of miscarriage or future child health.
