A career focussed CHASM event for post graduate and early career researchers with guest speakers Dr Gareth Young and Dr Holly Prescott.
Join Dr Gareth Young, Knowledge Exchange and Impact Fellow, University of Sheffield and Dr Holly Prescott, PGR Careers Advisor, University of Birmingham as they share their experiences and advice for career building in this one hour, online event.
Dr Gareth Young will share his experience about the different routes within academia other than traditional research/teaching roles and give insight into preparation during a PhD to explore jobs, build networks and gain a balance of experiences.
Dr Holly Prescott will provide you with more information about interview situations both within and beyond academia, and give tips on how to manage yourself and do yourself justice in interviews.
CHASM's PGR & ECR Network is open to all researchers with an interest in CHASM research areas and is a supportive space for PGR and ECR researchers from institutions across the UK and overseas to help develop their careers through networking opportunities, workshops, and events.
